Internal and External Release systems for wood panels
Sticking of wood to caul plates and press surfaces is a major problem for the global panel industry. Soap or silicone based release system applied to hot press surfaces which cause serious corrosion problems. Bonded wood creates costly delays, waste and reduced production.
Purchem has invented and developed patented release systems for composite wood panel plants that use pMDI binder systems.
PMR-35 can be spray-applied to caul plates or continuous press belts. Use with aluminum, mild steel or stainless steel press surfaces. Does not corrode metal surfaces or build up film on plates. Completely eliminates need for soap or silicone-based release systems.
PMR-16 release can also be blended in-line with your standard pMDI and applied with a spray atomizer over wood chips, HDF / MDF fibers, or wood particles. Compatible with standard spray wax systems, PMR-16 improves the mechanical properties of composite panel products with perfect release every time.
Tested & endorsed by world-leading forestry laboratories, this new material allows large-scale wood panel producers to finally have a true IR technology solution.
Works with all hardwood, soft wood, flax fiber, bamboo and other lignin-containing furnish species. Contact us for more information.
